2019-Expectations

Three words came to me for 2019. RESTORATION. RECOMPENSE. HARVEST.
The Lord is going to RESTORE the years the locust have eaten. What was destroyed and lost is going to be restored. What was stolen by the devil will to Recompensed again. Harvest, reaping what has been sown in the Spirit and in the natural.  It will be a time of gathering the fruit of your labors. What has been sown will now   bring forth. "Our expectation is in the Lord." Ps. 62:5,

We have an opportunity to minister on a Cherokee Reservation this summer. Pray for this opportunity that God will bring it to pass. We are still in the planning stages so we pray that God will grant us wisdom, and knowledge and provision to minister to these dear people. Blessings!

2016 A Year of Change

I praise the Lord for the opportunity to share the Word of the Lord in December at Kerygma Fellowship Church. Rev. Flip Benham and his two sons, Jason and David are the pastors. Two things happened that have never happened before in my ministry. One, after I preached, the congregation gave me an ovation. I believe that was a first for me. Second, the Pastor stated that he felt like he had just heard John Wesley preach! That was also a first! What an honor to be compared to the great John Wesley! I am sure that I cannot hold a candle to the awesome preaching of Wesley but it was very nice to have the pastor make the remark. It was an honor to have shared the Word with that body of believers.

2016 is going to be a year of great change. Not only is the nation choosing a new president this year but God is also moving to bring many people into their destinies. The word that I hear is Expectation. Expect a breakthrough this year!  When the people of Israel heard the preaching of John the Baptist, the Bible says that they were all in great expectation. They were not disappointed! That was the word that I preached at Kerygma Fellowship. Where the people of the Lord are in expectation---God will move in unexpected ways! And where the people of the Lord are in expectation, expecting God to do something, God never fails to move. There is already a moving--a shaking in the land and in many people's lives. Something's about to happen! Thank God in advance and praise Him that all power and authority have been given unto Jesus, in heaven and in earth. That means He can do anything He desires and anywhere He desires and no one or nothing can stop him. The psalmist says, "Lord, it is time for you to work!" It is time for God to work. Get ready! Expect a breakthrough, shortly!

2015 The Year of Divine Acts of Grace

6/9/2015

The Lord led me to investigate the meaning of the number 15. As in 2015. Could this be your year to see Divine acts of grace in your behalf? E.W. Bullinger, Bible scholar and expert on the meanings of the use of numbers in the Bible says this of the number 15. "Fifteen is a multiple of 5 and partakes of the significance of that number, also of the number 3 with which it is combined, 3x5.
Five is, as we have seen, the number of grace, and 3 is the number of divine perfection. 15, therefore, specially refers to acts wrought by the energy of Divine grace.
Deity is seen in it, for the two Hebrew letters which express it are Yod(10) and Hey(5). These spell the ineffable Name of JAH, who is the fountain of all grace.  The number 15 is thus made up, by addition,10+5; but as the Jews would not, by the constant use of these two letters, profane the sacred name, two other letters were arbitrarily used for this number, and a different and artificial combination was thus formed, Teth=9, and Vau=6. The number 9+6 would thus represent the number 15, but without any significance.
15 being 8+7 as well as 3X5, it may also include a reference to resurrection, as being a special mark of the energy of Divine grace issuing in glory."
So, in the Bible when you see the number 15, there is a energy of Divine grace being issued. The Ark was lifted by the flood waters 15 cubits. Hezekiah received 15 years of life after nearly dying. Bethany, where Lazarus was raised from the dead ,was 15 furlongs from Jerusalem. And on the 15th day of the seventh month was the feast of Tabernacles.
2015 is the year to expect Divine acts of Power and Grace! God has spoken to my heart and said, "This is your year!" This is the year of breakthrough and breakout! The power of the Lord is going to be manifested in your life, if it hasn't already. Though it tarry, wait for it. It will speak, in the end and not lie! It is coming! It will come, it will come! Glory to God. Are you in expectation for a move of God? I am.

Get Ready!

I just returned from a pastor and leadership conference with ten thousand African-American pastors and leaders from all over the country and forty-five nations represented in attendance. The atmosphere was electric and the anointing was so strong in the place that the power of the Holy Spirit was upon me when I went to bed and was still there when I awoke. It was three days of powerful preaching and teaching with emphasis on reaching the nation for Jesus as well as touching the world with the gospel.

I met some of the most precious pastors and leaders in the country and it was one of the most amazing conferences that I have ever been to in my life. If everyone there got half of what I experienced, then revival cannot be far off. God is moving, especially in the African-American churches and God is preparing a people to receive the power of the Holy Ghost and change the course of the country and the culture of the Church!

Beloved, I believe this is the year when the LORD is going to begin to pour out His Spirit in unprecedented ways. 2015 is a year of glory. The Bible says that the people in Jesus's day were all filled with expectation! Many had heard Jesus and seen the miracles and the stories that were being noised abroad. Expectation! They were filled with expectation. Get ready. God is about to begin to show His mighty hand and outstretched arm. He spoke to my heart just a week to two ago and said, "I am getting ready to reveal my glory and my power in the land of Egypt!" And He wasn't talking about the middle east. He was talking about the Egypt that America has become. Be that servant of Elijah who was sent to look on the horizon for the rain. He kept on looking and then on the seventh look, he beheld a cloud on the horizon in the shape of a man's hand! Do you see it? On the horizon? Keep looking! It is coming! The Lord told me to tell you!!! Get ready!

A Genuine Christmas Miracle

1/6/2011

The week of December 8th found my wife, Felicia, in New Jersey, attending a business meeting. There were some sixty people in attendance. On the second day of the conference, an elderly lady, who was head supervisor of the group session, got up to turn in some reports. She had walked some twenty-five feet, turned in the papers, and suddenly fell down backwards on the floor.

Although the conference room was crowded with about twenty-five people, no one moved to help the woman, being stunned by the suddenness of the crisis. Felicia heard the “thud” and arose to see what the commotion was all about. There on the floor, lying motionless and pale was her friend. Felicia recalled on the phone to me that night, how the lady looked like she was dead. Instinctively, Felicia knelt down beside the woman, laid her hand upon her heart, and began to pray. Then, after a few moments, the woman opened her eyes and asked where she was. Felicia called for the bystanders to call 911 and after some time, the paramedics arrived. Felicia didn’t hear what had happened to her friend until a week later.

Felicia had been back in Mobile a couple of days when the phone rang. It was her friend from the conference. She told Felicia that she had been in the hospital for a week and that the doctors had ran a battery of tests on her. They could not find the source of her problem. They were baffled until, after several more days of tests the woman had another episode. Now they had the evidence and were sure of what had happened. They told the woman that they were sure that she had suffered SDS—or Sudden Death Syndrome. She asked what did that mean and they replied that her heart had stopped and that she had died that day. But they were quite baffled as to how she had come back to life. They told her people who suffer from this ailment do not come back to tell about it. They said they had no “medical explanation” as for her being alive! They continued to run more tests and installed an internal defibrillator. Finally, still baffled by their inability to explain the woman being alive, they came back for further questions. “Did anyone do CPR on you?" They asked. “What do you remember?” No one did CPR, she responded. “All I know is that I heard Felicia praying for me. I came to and saw her face and felt her hand upon my heart. Felicia just prayed for me.” “Well”, said the doctors, “there is a lot we do not know about or understand.” The lady has called several times and told Felicia, “We will always be connected now.”

The physicians were astonished. The woman was astonished at what the doctors had told her and Felicia was astonished at what the Lord had done. It was a true Christmas miracle. The power of God and the power of prayer bringing one that was dead back to life. No reporters. No cameras; just quiet prayer to the One who said He was the Resurrection and the Life. Emmanuel, God with us. Merry Christmas.
